I had a dream about you

Dec. 11th, 2012 09:39 pm Seperation Anxiety??

Do you know that pang you get when you leave home?
It's when you feel that knot in your chest like - 'I dont want to go...'
I had that when I moved to Cardiff, particularly as I just hopped in the car and set off. It also happened when I left home (Birmingham) after my visit a few weeks ago.

And it happened just now leaving the pub, after my course Christmas meal.

In all these instances, I've been aware of the ridiculousness of the feeling, and that's why it's just a momentary pang, but tonight was particularly silly as I'm seeing them again in 4 weeks. However, a month is a long time when you've been seeing people weekly in such an intense, wonderful setting as a therapy course.

Thinking about it now, it's not just a month without my coursemates, but without the structure of the weekly course days and also a month without therapy. The next few weeks are going to be full of fun, friends, and plenty of studying, so I don't think I'm going to fall apart, but I'm definitely going to miss it.

Overall I think it's great that I had this pang. Whenever I've talked about home in the past 3 months, I've used it to describe Birmingham and Cardiff, which I have found confusing. The realisation I've had tonight is that they're both home now, and that the catch-all I used above is correct, there's home (Birmingham) and home (Cardiff), and they're both important to me now.

Jun. 27th, 2010 02:00 pm Yeah It's in my heart

Anyone ever go through months where they just don't feel like posting. I've just had, call it 3rd year-itus or something.

Anyway, the important stuff

I'm in AMERICA. WOOOOOOOOt. I'm working as a secretary at a really lovely summer camp in NY. The kids are special needs, which is sooo outside my comfort zone but I'm really enjoying the work. I think after three years struggling at my degree I just really like being good at something and getting praise, even if it's admin work. Oh and I'm travelling in late August/September if anyone fancies a meet up.

Also, I'm scared to go back on the diet because as much as I enjoyed being thinner, I found the process very tough psychologically. The problem is I need to do it for my health. Urgh, sometimes I wish I could just tell 12 year old me to lay off the crisps and take a dance class.

I just culled my facebook friends. So many people I didn't know who they were and lots of dickheads from uni I stopped talking too. It's partly because I'm thinking of changing my profile to tell everyone I'm bi but I don't know if I'm ready yet. Hmmmm, we'll see.

I also got my degree results, but it's all very up in the air and I think I might just make a public post about it so I can blast my uni in a public space.

How's everyone doing

Oct. 15th, 2009 11:28 am Happy Thursday.

Hi guys,

Guess who I saw today. Jon Snow. It's my new add vantage module and he was giving a lecture in Coventry Cathedral on modern journalism. It was pretty epic.

Unfornately, physically I feel a bit shit. I went to the music theatre social, it was fun, considering the day I'd had, but I got covered in beer from head to toe then I fell over quite spectularly. No one looks good mid-fall except some skinny people, that's just a fact.

Speaking of mts, I need to decide on an audition song. I'm thinking one night only, but I need to properly go through the list. It's going to be tough keeping up with everything, final project (I want to do a gig recording and broadcast it live on source radio) and mts 2 nights a week, source monday/wednesday, Jsoc tomorow night and Pierce's rum crawl on Saturday night. Oh well, I'm only young once.

Speaking of which, anyone know any good working abroad programs? I was going to graduate, work, travel, but maybe I can mix up the order. I need paying, which may be a problem.

I have 1 week of second year university left. Crazy.

I also have gastrointeritus, which is a bitch.
I've never had a stomach ache for 4 days, it's not fun.

However, the fair is literally in town, and I'm going tomorow.
Here's to anti-sickness pills.

Also, I'm not sure whether to temp or apply for bar/shop jobs.

I do have office experience, so I'm leaning towards temping, but anyone
have good back/experience of either. Advice please?

I'm not sure if I posted about this but I had exams Monday/Tuesday and then the week off.

Saw Naz on Wednesday and I've now bought my Beni tickets. yay. I've seen Franz Ferdinand once, but there's also the killers, kings of leon, paul weller, oasis, lily allen, maximo park and then some awesome little indies and djs. Plus we had to get vip, which is good.

I ended up spending Thursday setting up a new bank account - yay. With the co-op, which should be a good deal, better than barclays they are such wankers I swear. Oh and I bought a new top and two paintings (by numbers), one of which is now on my wall looking at me. I had thought about visiting CBYV, but Katie basically replied to my e-mail saying don't come, in fact I felt compelled to e-mail her back telling her off for being so rude. It's a shame, but hopefully I'll get my arse into gear about that singing teacher.

I was going to see the Parents in Brum as well, but the doctor who exhibition is in Cov. The parents have seen it but we went to a great asain buffet and it was in the transport museam which none of us had been to. They got me a touch lamp from the gift shop which was awesome. I'll try and post the pics, once I find my usb thing.

Also, I have 5 more userpic spaces, must have happened when I renewed payment. I was just thinking of going through my icon bookmarks.

Also, I'd seen this meme but never heard the song. Just click, you won't regret it.

A man calls a library, enquiring as to whether there are any books on suicide available. The librarian replies "Fuck off, you won't return it."
